Hi Maggie Girl! You are really fun. I love your BLOGGGGG.
I just had to respond when I saw your comment that you hate talking on the phone. I HATE IT TOO. It really tends to freak people out though – have you noticed? I don’t know why they can’t just EMAIL the information, when 9 times out of 10 the (30 minute, ususally wasted-time) phone conversation ends with “Ok, well, let me email you the information….”
Anyway, in your job, I’m quite sure you end up HAVING to use the phone contraption at times, and I end up resorting to it occassionally too, if, for instance, not using it would REALLY irritate someone enough to not want to work with me, but…I REALLY HATE IT. I wish we could change the world on this phone usage thing. That’s why texts and emails were invented…come on, people!
Happy New Year and great to read about all of your adventures and excitement and life developments. AND…CONGRATS on “being with child”! WOO HOO! Verry happy for you! That’s one lucky baby to have such a clever and special mama! See ya soon…!

P.S. Maggie – stupid question, but – what is a Ninja cat?

    Hi Maggie.
This was a great list of celebrities in Palm Springs!! Was here visiting during COVID 19 and was NOT A THING to do. A friend and I literally spent two whole days driving around Palm Springs checking out all the celebrity homes that we could find and address for.
OMG!! We felt like stalkers and were waiting for the neighborhood watches to start reporting this strange car driving the neighborhoods… But not one officer chased us down!!

I can definitely say I have learned every square inch of Palm Springs and during COVID 19 quarantine!!

    Thanks again!!

    Happy Celebrity Stalking!

Just heard your NPR piece on getting sober. So vulnerable abs generous! Totally related and know first hand that every personality you loved from the bar is who populates AA. Fun and interesting people who bring their own Peets to meetings and- just like you- protected their drinking until until they woke up to too many “happy mornings!” Then the self loathing, humiliation and obsession began. I know movies have depicted a sad, depressing lot who will drink any free swill that’s given to them. But we’re sober, accomplished, successful, inspiring, sane, capable and RELATABLE people. 1/2 of Hollywood is there. 95% of artists and writers are there or in their way (JK). We are learning (and teaching) how to navigate relationships, work, ourselves and the world not just physically sober, but emotionally sober as well. I’m
I’m So Cal too. Sober. Maybe we’ll meet over a hot oat milk latte one day!
    Light ahead✨🎉

Hi Maggie. I just read your book BRAVER THAN YOU THINK. I couldn’t put it down. It takes a lot of courage to do what you did and thank you for sharing the nitty gritty of your journey. One of my favourite parts was reading about the spontaneous Jordanian dinner and the delicious meal that you enjoyed in the middle of the dessert. The time you took to acknowledge the pain and suffering in some parts of the world and lift up the people you met there by your simple human connection to make their present day better. It is inspiring as think about as I consider what my next steps are in this life journey. Travel is going to be a part of it. A balance between work and travel is the right thing for me right now. And to now discover that you have a blog, yahoo! I’m in. Life is good. I appreciate you and your work. 🙂
